Parents
and Citizens Association
The objectives of the P&C Association are to encourage appropriate
parental involvement at the School and to contribute to the educational
expenses and experiences of the children. They do this through
provision of voluntary services and the raising of funds to support
School activities and projects.
The P&C Association acts as an umbrella organization for a number
of separate support groups associated with individual sports or
activities. All parents have membership of the Association, although
most choose to ignore it.
The P&F Association also provides a programme of four evening
functions per year for parents at which guest speakers address
topics relevant to the education and development of the boys and
girls. They are good opportunities for a drink or two and social
intercourse. It also hosts a series of social gatherings early
in the year to enable parents of new boys and girls to meet other
parents and their children's teachers.
A particularly important group is the P&C Auxiliary. This group
operates the Tuck Shop, Book Room and Clothing Shop on a voluntary
basis throughout the year. The Auxiliary provides a most important
service to students and other parents and the revenue from its
operations furnishes capital for the School’s resources.
